First, you have to set the time manually on your remote. You have to set a time period at which time you want your AC to be on or off.

How to Set Timer in Voltas AC?
Timer on Button Function
The timer-on button is found in the remote. Here I tell you how to turn on the timer using button functions. To activate the timer on the button, you need two things.
1. The Remote Should be Off
(Remote off means that the light which is on in the display of your remote should be displayed off)
2. AC at Stand-by Mode
(Standby mode means your air conditioning power on but the air condition not running)
If both these conditions are fulfilled, then you have to press the timer on the button. When you press the timer, you will see the indication of one hour in your remote. In this, by pressing the class button, you can increase it from 1 hour to 3 or 4 hours. To set it, you have to press the set button. Your timer will be set for 3 or 4 hours at the push of the set button. One thing you should keep in mind while setting the timer, your air condition remote should be towards the PVC board so that you can record it. After that your air conditioner will automatically turn on after 3 hours or 4 hours as you wanted.
Timer Off Button Function
After this, we will know how you will use the timer-off button. First, you have to turn on your remote by facing towards the air conditioner. After that, you have to click on the timer-off button. As soon as you press the timer button, you will have 1 hour shown in the indication display. In the same way as before, you can automatically turn off your air conditioner by setting the time from 4 hours to 5 hours by pressing the plus button. Then you have to set it by clicking on the settings option. And after that, you will see the display. After 4 or 5 hours yours will be closed automatically.
