If you are in a college where the library facility and the computing lab facility are available during working hours then you can fulfil your needs. Nowadays wifi facility is available all over every college. So, you don’t face any trouble using a computer in the lab.
In the first year of Engineering, you will be introduced to all the basic subjects of engineering like physics, math, chemistry, electronics, and mechanics where you don’t need a laptop anymore. I came to know many in my college life that many students used laptops for other works better than their studies. They spend their valuable time like a waste by using laptops for unproductive work. Most buy laptops giving themselves justifications that they will use the laptops for coding, software important to their branch, and studying on the internet. What they end up doing a month later is Facebook, LAN gaming, and hours and hours of TV Series that just don’t seem to stop at any point. Even if your campus has limited internet, at worst you will start copying data from other computers. If you are fully focused on your study then it is a blessing to you. But it is hard to be fully focused and a laptop can be a reason for your distraction.
