Can we use AC Water in Inverter Battery in 2023? Well, this is a question that many buyers asked me at different times. Today in this article, we are going to share whether you can use AC water in Inverter battery or not. In this age of technology, Air Conditioners (AC) and Inverters are two common products. These are very essential things in our daily life. Inverter batteries are extremely important in a power backup system. As they provide us with electrical energy during the period of a power shutdown or other lack of power.
But a question arises can we use AC water in Inverter battery? AC water can be used in inverter batteries. but it does not indicate that it should be used. By experts, it is not recommended to use this water in inverter battery. Because ac water contains some impurities or ions in the water solution. So this type of impure solution may damage the battery. And also potential creativity of the battery must be affected.

Yes, you can use AC Water in Inverter Batteries. But we are not recommending you use AC Water in Inverter Batteries. Because Air Conditioners produce distilled water which has ions and which is not pure. |
What is AC Water?
AC generates a good quantity of water when it is running. It drains the exterior part of the air conditioner outlet. This water comes from condensate water made at room temperature from the evaporation coil of the Air Conditioner. Generally, we know that condensation water is the purest form of water and it is useful for drinking, cooking, and other household work purposes. But inside the AC unit and its coil is too dirty then it mixes with water. Therefore it comes out of the drain pipe.
What is an Inverter?
The inverter is an electronic product or device which changes direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). Here the input voltage, output voltage, frequency and overall efficiency depend on the design of the product. The inverter does not produce any power. The power is provided by the dc source. It is very useful in our modern-day life.

Why AC Water is Not Acceptable for Use in Inverter Battery?
TDS
For an inverter battery, the necessary things of water are TDS (Total Dissolved Solids). Those type of water whose TDS is <(less than) 50 is ideal for inverters. So, we can not use ac water or plain water in the inverters’ battery. We experimented with the TDS value of ac water is much more than the sufficient condition. according to TDS, we can not use ac water in the above-mentioned battery. Ph VALU: We know that if the pH value is greater than 7 the solution is alkaline; if the Ph value is less than 7 then the answer is acidic. For the inverter’s battery, we use acidic water. According to our experiment, the pH value of ac water is more significant than(>)7.so we can not use ac water in the inverter battery. So, it harms the battery.
Other Chemical Properties
Ac water does not suitable for inverters batteries it does not contain essential chemicals to act as an electrolyte solution. the electrolyte solution is necessary for functioning inverters’ batteries properly way. This solution supports to conduct of electricity and maintains the battery’s activity. The electrolytic solution is used for the inverter battery. It contains a mixture of water and sulfuric acid but unfortunately, ac water does not have sulfuric acid or acidic behaviour.
Thereafter it does not act as an electrolyte solution to promote an acid battery. If we use ac water in inverter battery it can dilute the electrolyte solution. It also reduces the efficiency of the battery to hold a charge and potentially it is damaged completely. On the other hand, the potential damage to the battery, and water in inverter battery can also be very dangerous, mixture of ac water with the electrolyte solution in the battery can create an unsecured and potentially explosive mixture.
Here I can suggest u to you the best performance and longevity of your inverter battery, it is obvious that usage of correct electrolyte solution as recommended by the manufacturer company or a technician. Using the wrong type of electrolyte solution, as mentioned AC water can cause damage to your battery and may create a potentially dangerous situation.

Alternatives To AC Water
The correct electrolytic solution is used for the inverter battery. it contains a mixture of sulfuric acid and water. The solution is mandatory for the battery to function properly and maintained performance. For your battery’s good lifespan and better performance, you should maintain the above criteria. As well as u should follow the recommendation of the manufacturer company and technician.
